Question about Profile Views

Ok, so today my friend and I were talking about facebook, and she mentioned that if you look at someone's profile that you are not friends with like 5 times, then facebook will send them a message telling them who has been looking at their profile so many times. So is this true?
And if it is, dont you think that it goes against facebook's privacy about not being able to see who views your profile? Or do you think it is fair?

99% sure that this is NOT true (ie. facebook DOES NOT send anyone (friend or not) emails about profile views, etc).

In fact facebook does not allow profile tracking at all.


If I'm wrong however, I'd like to see that email she's talking about

Well its not, I mean I've done it so many times truth me someone would of told me beside facebook won't allow a tracking appl I doubt they would do this.

Facebook doesn't let individuals track profile views, but are you aware that the Facebook STAFF is able to look at everything and anything about facebook. They can look at anyones profile as well as see who has looked at yours and who you have looked at. That is where the idea of this would even come from. You may not be able to track the views, but facebook sure can....

Yeah I know that and the FBI and other companies and the school networks can see it as well for security but not individuals.
