PostSubject: Is this an appropriate way to keep someone 'alive' ; is this life or.....   Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:42 pm

Readers  may recall  dear Alfie Evans   who  recently died in Alder Hey Hospital   having been  born  with a neurodegererative  disorder that meant his brain was  quite literally turning  to  liquid

>>>>alfie  evans  google  search<<<<<

If you have access to Facebook you can  find many  discussion   groups  about Alfie that will  give  you some idea  of  how  Facebook   dealt with the  fight to  keep Alfie alive

One  such 'contribution'  was from the  person who decided to make  this video and  is seemingly  suggesting  quite  strongly that   this is  an appropriate  way to  keep  someone 'alive'

If you care to watch  the  video  you will note

the child in the  video cannot  breathe independently,

cannot  move at all

cannot open his eyes

cannot speak

has to be  fed  by tube  feed

is reliant  on others  for all his 'needs '

he  has  been  like  this  for 26 years and the only 'thing' keeping him  alive  are the machines

the  parent  sees  nothing wrong  with  her  decision but   when  she  dies who will keep the child  alive with the machines ....

The   question is  is this' life ' or......
what 'future' is there for the child?? and for whom  are the machines  running ...for the  child for for the 'conscience ' and  gratification of the parent ???

If you care to watch it and have  any comments please do feel  free to  add them to this thread
